Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the website and product operated by Knotwork AI, Inc. (“Knotwork,” “we,” “us”). By using Knotwork, including as part of our pilot program, you agree to them.
The service
Knotwork provides a platform for automating legacy and desktop software, and building automated workflows across it, including a local connector application that can read from and enter data into desktop software running on your own machines, and autonomous agent execution triggered by rules you configure.
Pilot program
Access during our pilot program is granted via an invitation code and is offered at our discretion. Pilot access is provided to help us and you evaluate the product together — it is not a commitment by either party to a long-term paid relationship. Either party may end pilot participation at any time by written notice (including email). Features, pricing, and the product itself may change materially during the pilot as we continue building. We’ll tell you about material changes that affect your specific use, but the pilot is explicitly an early-stage product, not a finished one.
Your account and your responsibility for automation
- You’re responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for activity under your account.
- You must have the right to connect any application, account, or data source (including third-party mail accounts, spreadsheets, and desktop software) you configure Knotwork to access.
- You are responsible for reviewing and approving automations before granting them unattended execution — including automations that enter data into your own desktop software (e.g. accounting or practice management systems) via the Knotwork connector. Knotwork provides verification steps (such as read-back confirmation before saving) as a safeguard, not a guarantee, and you remain responsible for the correctness of data entered into your own systems as a result of workflows you configure and leave running.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Knotwork to:
- Access systems or data you’re not authorized to access.
- Violate any law, regulation, or third-party terms of service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the service, including attempting to bypass access or rate-limiting controls.
Fees & billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Fees are described on our pricing page and may change with notice. Pilot program access granted via invitation code is not billed unless and until you move to a paid plan.
Intellectual property
Knotwork retains all rights to the platform itself, including the underlying automation methodology and any application-specific configuration we build to connect to your software. You retain all rights to your own data, files, and workflow configurations. Feedback you give us about the product during the pilot may be used to improve Knotwork without any obligation to you, but we won’t attribute it to you publicly without asking.
Confidentiality
Non-public information either of us shares about our respective businesses in connection with the pilot (including product roadmap, pricing, and your own internal business processes we learn while configuring workflows) should be treated as confidential and used only to evaluate and operate the pilot, not disclosed to third parties.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Knotwork is provided “as is” and, during the pilot program specifically, without any uptime or availability commitment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knotwork is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including from errors in automated workflows you configure and approve, or from data entered into your own third-party or desktop software as a result of those workflows.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Knotwork against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the service or your violation of these terms, including unauthorized access to systems or data through a workflow you configured.
Termination
You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms, for non-payment, or, during the pilot program, for any reason with notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
